The Early Years

These are a few of my (Valerie) relatives. The first two photo’s are my great grandparents and their children. The young man in the Navel uniform is my grandfather. He ditched school one day, lied about his age, and joined the Navy. My grandmother’s graduation picture taken in 1908 is next. She married my grandfather when she was 25 years old and had 6 children. One was my mother, Kathryn, who is shown in the bottom photo as a young woman. I hope you will enjoy these!
